Community History: Mckinney falls clan were slave owners. Daniel Alexander was not a traditional slave (maybe a slave companion). Brought with family from Missouri in approximately 1822. Alexander family owned land from approximately 1844 onwards, state only recognized since 1864. Deed was only put in records in 1864, year after Emancipation Proclamation.
