Community History: The settlement was overrun by the Austin State Cementary and gentrification. The Pleasant Hill Baptist Church moved to South Austin about 1885 settled at 6709 Circle S Rd, Austin TX 78745. They subsequently donated a portion of their land to the city of Austin for a public library, located at 211 E. William Cannon, Austin TX 78745, which is named the Pleasant Hill Branch Library.
