Community History: My maternal grandparents Joseph & Alice Jones lived in brewer hill. They had 17 children. My mother was one of the youngest. They live directly across the road from a k to 8 school called “Spot Taylor” My mother later attended “Freeman high school in Caldwell TX. Next the elementary school was “Brewer Hill Baptist Church”. Prior to living in Brewer Hill my grandparents lived in Zion Hill settlement community and attended Zion Hill Methodist church. Many of there grandchildren who grew up there are still living to tell the stories of life with our grandparents in those communities.
