Community History: Mary Nickelberry, great great great grandmother, the daughter of Colonel Nickelberry, (aka CN) father, and Rosa Warren, mother, was the first settler in Marietta, Cass, Texas. Mary became a midwife and delivered hundreds of babies. In her time, her midwife duties were equivalent to a professional doctor in the 21st Century. Our family still holds a piece of the logbook as a piece of history; which I am proud to have come from this lingeage.
