Public History: The Descendants Of The Arnwine Family are seeking justice for land that was taken from our ancestors in Jacksonville Texas, Albartis Arnwine left a will upon his death in 1855 for his slaves to receive 900 acre’s of land and to be free, the will was never honored, we have Court records and deeds , the case went to the supreme Court and they never received anything. Sterling Arnwine did a Slave Narrative Interview With the Federal Writers Project in 1936 that shared our story that can be found in the Library Of Congress, Gracie, Mary, Winnie and Anaka and the children were in the will of Albartis Arnwine, which he was my 3rd Great Grandfather, he had children with his slave Gracie, The Arnwine Family Story is currently displayed at The African American Museum Of Southern Arizona in Tucson Arizona permanently and online video footage. The Arnwine Family Story was recently submitted in the congressional records by Congresswoman Gwen Moore Of Wisconsin on November 12th 2024. We are receiving letters from Congress and Senators across the United States to support our fight for justice for land that was taken from our ancestors

Community History: Albartis Arnwine before his death left a will for his slaves to receive 900 acre’s of land and for them to be free, the will was contested in court and it went to The Supreme Court in favor of his slaves, but the will was never honored and now the Arnwine Family upon this discovery in this day and time are fighting for justice, justice has no time limit. Sterling Arnwine did a Slave Narrative Interview With the Federal Writers Project in 1936 that can be found in the Library Of Congress. Our story is currently displayed at The African American Museum Of Southern Arizona in Tucson Arizona featuring myself and Candice Hammons, Congresswoman Gwen Moore Of Wisconsin submitted a congressional statement tribute For The Arnwine Family on November 12th 2024. We are receiving letters from Congress and Senators across The United States for the support of justice for The Arnwine Family, Candice Hammons and Me art Tucker has a book published called “Truth and Justice For The Arnwine Family” we are currently seeking an probono attorney to take our case to fight for justice.
