Community History: Antioch is a freedom colony in eastern Henderson county. It used to have a Rosenwald school. There is an active church – Antioch Baptist Church. Community organizers created a historical marker at the church describing its history. They had a homecoming to celebrate. The community is very close to another freedom colony called Moore Station which is across the creek. However, the two communities were distinct. Many people were related between the communities.
